(3) Sodium Benzoate can be produced artificially from petroleum or it can be extracted from plants. Hugo uses botanically extracted sodium benzoate. Fruits such as apples, cranberries and plums naturally contain sodium benzoate. Some people do not like sodium benzoate in any form, even when natural.
